この葬祭ホールは、2019年5月に茨城県牛久市に完成しました。建物は3階建てで、1階は会食ホール、2階が告別式のためのホール、3階は少人数の家族葬のためのホールになっています。
これまで葬祭場にデザイン性を求められることはあまりありませんでした。慎ましくお別れをし、華美にならないという暗黙の認識がそこには潜んでいるように思います。葬祭場は故人との最後のお別れの場です。それゆえ失った親族や友人の心を癒し、心を気遣い、心を慰めることが最も重要な要素であると考えます。
デザインのテーマは人々の心に静けさと安らぎを感じさせる空間をつくることとしました。根源的なイメージは「木漏れ日さす聖なる森」。整然と美しく林立する柱は、枝が分かれ、交差し、まるで樹木のように空間全体を柔らかく包みます。足元からライトアップされた木々は厳粛な雰囲気を醸し出し、静謐に包まれた空間へと昇華させます。命を育み、絶え間なく続いていく聖なる森で、一つの命と最後のお別れをする。そんなメタファーがこの告別式ホールには込められています。（カサハラデザインワーク）

This funeral hall was completed in May of 2019 in Ushiku City, Ibaraki Prefecture. The structure is three storeys, with the first floor hosting the dining hall, the second floor features the funeral hall, and on the third floor, there is a hall for small-scale family funerals.
Until now, funeral halls weren’t required to have much architectural design. I think this is because there was an unacknowledged rule that in them people would quietly say their goodbyes to their loved ones, so the halls should be somber. A funeral hall is the place where people say their last goodbyes. As such, we consider it important to comfort, care for, and alleviate the dark feelings the bereaved family and friends.
Our design theme was to create a place that created quiet and peace in people’s hearts. The basic visual concept is “a sacred forest into which light filters down.” The orderly and beautiful “tree” pillars spread their branches, crossing them, giving the impression that the entire space is softly encompassed as in a forest. Lighting the trees up at foot level creates a serious atmosphere and evolves the space into one wrapped in silence. In this sacred forest, where life is born and continues eternally, we say our last goodbye to one of those lives. This metaphor is woven through the funeral hall. (KASAHARA DESIGN WORK)

此处葬礼礼堂于2019年5月在茨城县牛久市建成。建筑有三层，一楼是聚餐厅，二楼是告别式礼厅，三楼是用于少数人家族的葬礼厅。迄今为止葬礼场的设计性几乎没有被要求过。我们认为大家都想潜藏着恭谨质朴的告别，不追求华美的这种隐含的意识。葬礼场是与故人最后告别的场所。因此，我们本着疗愈，关怀以及抚慰失去至亲故友的心灵作为至关重要的要素来考虑。
设计的主题是创造出让人们感知到心灵的宁静与安乐的空间。根源性的印象是“阳光照进树木缝隙神圣的森林”。整齐又富有美感林立着的柱子，分枝，交错，宛若树木一般将整个空间包裹得愈加柔和。光照从脚下延展开来的树木酿造出庄重严肃的氛围，使之升华成弥漫着静谧的空间。生命的孕育，在绵延不绝的神圣森林中，与一个生命做最后的告别。如此隐喻蕴含于此告别式礼厅。（KASAHARA DESIGN WORK）
