Bar&Gelateria RAFFINATO

Bar&Gelateria “RAFFINATO” is newly produced to meet more to-go orders by an Italian restaurant based in Ashiya-shi, Hyogo prefecture. The location is in the first basement in a commercial zone “PLAZA” of NAKANOSHIMA FESTIVAL TOWER. Against NAKANOSHIMA FESTIVAL TOWER which wears massive materials and dark colors, the entire store, which has 55.5㎡ floor area, is colored in white. Therefore the exterior can insist its white in contrast to buildings and the interior can be expected to exist as nothingness including adopted details. Especially, those considerations in the inner space have planned to emphasize items in gelato cases and deli cases and existence of espresso machines. Inside of the store, Counters, tables, and benches for eat-in are made of artificial marbles which give a function of connecting two separated spaces to materials. The smooth hand feeling and the sensible temperature of marbles are extraordinarily paid attention. All the furniture is made to measure. Especially chairs are minimized to the best possible extent not to lose their functions but to cut spatial loss. Respecting both Japanese and overseas traditions and cultures, I mixed my own sense of aesthetics and ideas found in daily life. I also rethought the present trend and the value in the future, and then tried to design the store with the owner chef in terms of how to match the commercial and economic trends and realize the co-existence of them. バール＆ジェラテリア「ラッフィナート」は、兵庫県芦屋市に構えるイタリアンレストランが新たに展開する、テイクアウトを充実させた店である。立地は、中之島フェスティバルタワー商業ゾーン「プラザ」の地下1階。重厚な素材感とダークカラーをまとう中之島フェスティバルタワーに対し、17坪の店全体は白色を採用。それにより外部はビルとのコントラストを生かしながら白で主張し、内部空間においては採用したディテールを含め、すべては無の存在としての効果を期待した。特に内部空間におけるそれらの配慮は、ジェラートケース／デリケース内の商品群、エスプレッソマシンの存在を際立てることを設計意図とした。内部空間のバンコカウンターとイートインのテーブル／ベンチシートは人工大理石でつくられ、二分された空間を繋ぐ役割りを素材に与えるとともに触っても冷たくない手触りの良さに注視した。また家具はすべてオリジナルデザインで、特に椅子については内部空間のスケールに合わせ、機能上支障のないギリギリの範囲でコンパクト化し、空間に合わせてムダの無いデザインとした。日本や海外が持つ伝統や文化を習い、自分なりの美意識と日常に埋没するアイデアを織り交ぜ、現在の時流と将来におけるモノの価値を再考しながら、商業的かつ経済的時流とどこまで歩みを揃えるか、どのように共存できるかを試行した設えをオーナーシェフと共に試みた。（河野知二／コングデザインオフィス）
