車窓から外を眺める時、風景が一瞬にして変わったり、スケールはずれの建造物が突然現れたときは、強烈な記憶を残す。このホーム下商店街での人の流れの速度は違うが、インパクトを与えるために“変化”を設計テーマとした。一直線に長く伸びる雑誌棚とルーバーから得られるスケール感。木調と白に仕上げられたエリアの突然の切り替え。整然と並ぶ蛍光灯とランダムに並ぶ蛍光灯の対比。商店街全域で迫ってくる低い天井の存在感を忘れさせる鏡天井。店舗内の動線を色々と提案した中で、万引き問題よりは出勤や帰宅時のお客さんの流れに対する接客を優先するレジの配置を施主は選んだ。鏡は万引き防止にも貢献出来ると思う。（玄・ベルトー・進来）

People have a strong impression when they face the changing scenery in an instant or the bastard size architecture from the train window. Because there are many people walking at different speed in this shopping street under the platforms, I set “Transformation” as a design theme in order to leave the strong impression to passersby. Extending magazine shelves and louvers as a straight line let you to feel a scale. An instant change between wood-tone-finishing areas and white-finishing areas. A contrast between fluorescent lights, ones are set in order and the others are randomly. Mirror ceilings make people to forget about low ceilings of the whole shopping street. The owner of the store chose to prioritize taking care of customers over preventing shoplifting from our suggestions of traffic line. Mirrors can also contribute to preventing shoplifting.
